Book Review - Where is my home

Hi there and welcome to my review of a children's book written by Tali Carmi. I don't know about you but I have always enjoyed reading, it's one of those things that I cherish. I have such fond memories of my granddad reading me books when I was a kid and that developed into a passion of mine. I always tell people who know me that of the skills, passion and talents that my mother has I have inherited the love of reading books among other things. Though I still read quite a bit most of the books I read now at my age are more romance than children's books but don't  judge (yes you) because  I enjoy reading children's books in fact I read tinkle bell again and I watched "Frozen" and "How to train a dragon".

Book description:

There is no place like home!
Terry Treetop books: Adventure & Education series for ages 2-6 (Animal Habitats & Environment children's books collection)
This fun children's picture book is about a boy with red hair and freckles named Terry, yet everybody calls him Terry Treetop because he loves climbing trees.
Terry is chasing a beautiful butterfly and wants to go back home.
But where is Terry's home?
And how can he find his way home?
Does the rabbit in the borrow know?
Does the beaver in the lodge know?
Maybe the fawn's mother knows?
Or can Susanne the squirrel help him?

Review:

I really enjoyed reading this children's books so much that I shared with my colleagues who have kids and I am planning on reading it to my nephew. My goddaughter enjoyed the use of all the colours and the animals and the happy ending when Terry found his way home. The books is short and sweet and takes about 5 minutes to read, this is good especially since most kids have a really short attention span. The story leads you on a little journey from a child daydreaming to meeting different animals who all try to help by sharing their home with Terry but none of them are able to accommodate him because his to big (since his human and they are animals). The author really took the time to explain why Terry couldn't fit and made it easy for the children to understand what's going on. I was very much happy with the ending (not only because I am a sucker for happy ending) but it's just a really nice way to end the story for children. The important messages in this book I think include:

* There is no place like home
* We can make friends in places we least expect
* And Home is Home

I have a deep love for children's books. I love having a daughter because now I get to read them often and introduce her to all of the ones I have loved and see her own favorites. She would probably enjoy this book.
